went with craftresumes after all the recs here, requested tech/cs specialist. just got draft: projects now have real impact numbers, skills matrix at top, leetcode/github highlighted, even added "familiar with system design concepts from personal projects". feels way more competitive for big tech apps. callbacks already trickling in after first 15 sends.
for cs majors reading this: diy works if you're great at writing & have strong projects, but if you're getting ghosted — tech resume writer who understands the field (like craftresumes or resume writing lab) can be game changer.

They understood both sides - what hiring managers look for AND how to get past initial screening. If you go this route, ask who will actually be writing your resume and what their background is. Avoid services that use general writers for technical resumes.

@FutureTechie most important thing for CS grads is showing what u actually built. fancy words from a tech writer resume service won't help if u don't have projects to back it up. focus on building cool stuff first, then worry about how to describe it. no one cares about a perfectly formatted resume with no substance.
